Getting to Salvador
How international visitors arrive in Salvador, Bahia, and how to plan the transfer from the airport to your neighbourhood.

Most international visitors reach Salvador by air, usually with a connection inside Brazil, and land at the airport on the eastern edge of the city — closer to Stella Maris and Itapuã than to Barra or the Historic Center. Plan a door-to-door transfer for arrival, particularly if you land at night or with luggage.
