We do not try to list everything. We select places and experiences we consider particularly useful or relevant to visitors, considering context, cultural importance, practical value, location, consistency and suitability for different travellers.

Whenever possible, we prioritise official, institutional and first-hand sources. Important information may be cross-checked against more than one source. When reliable sources disagree, we aim to state the uncertainty rather than conceal it.

Prices, opening hours, events, fares, transport, access conditions and business operations can change quickly. We mark information that should be reconfirmed and encourage visitors to verify critical details close to the date of travel.

When we identify incorrect or outdated information, we aim to correct it. A correction request is evaluated before any change is made. A public correction channel is still being configured and will be added to the website once operational.

Advertising, sponsorship or affiliate relationships do not purchase a positive editorial conclusion. Relevant commercial relationships should be disclosed clearly and advertising should remain distinguishable from independent editorial content.

AI tools may support research, translation, organisation and review. They do not replace editorial responsibility or verification of material facts. AI output is not treated as a primary source.

We aim to preserve meaning and cultural context across languages. Brazilian, Bahian, religious, culinary and cultural terms may remain in Portuguese when a literal translation would distort their meaning.

Afro-Brazilian culture, African-diaspora religions, colonial history, LGBTQIA+ life and local communities are treated as substantive parts of Salvador, not as decorative or exotic material for tourism content.

Content is reviewed according to how likely it is to change. Practical and operational information generally needs more frequent verification than historical or cultural context.
