Historic Center / Pelourinho

Sleeping inside Salvador's cultural core: maximum history and walkability, with trade-offs on beach access and noise.

Staying in the Historic Center puts the museums, churches and Terreiro de Jesus within a few minutes' walk, which is a real advantage if culture is the point of your trip. Expect an area that is busy by day and much quieter late at night, and plan transport accordingly.

Hotel and guesthouse availability changes constantly, and we do not list individual properties until we can verify them. Check current reviews and locations before booking.
